PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
My
name is Paul Theriault. I am honored to serve as principal of Eastport
Elementary School. I have lived in Eastport most of my life and attended
Eastport Primary and Grammar Schools as well as Shead High School. Both of my
daughters attended Eastport Elementary School. This Is my home and I am totally
invested in the future of its youth. I consider myself fortunate to be part of
an amazing staff and school community and encourage parents and guardians to be
involved whenever possible, with their child’s learning.
I
encourage parents and guardians to please help us by reinforcing school
expectations at home. With your help, Eastport Elementary School will be a
school community in which every person feels respected, valued, and encouraged
to embrace academic challenges to achieve at the highest levels.
The
mission of Eastport Elementary School Is to prepare our students for a
competitive future by creating and maintaining an environment that ensures all
students are intellectually active and experience a high level of academic
achievement. Students’ individual performance and growth will be measured and a
comprehensive system of support will be used to ensure that all learning
objectives are met. Moreover, we will provide a positive school learning
environment which fosters confidence and independence in a safe and secure
atmosphere. Intervention systems will be positioned to ensure that we are
meeting our students’ physical, emotional, and social needs through a variety
of measures.
I
am excited for the opportunity to work with you and your child to provide a
productive and safe learning environment that supports student success. If I
can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. My direct line
at EES is 207-853-5711. The direct line to the school is 207-853-6252.
Sincerely,
Paul
Theriault, Principal
